The team is in discussions with the Memphis Grizzlies about a deal that would center on the two players, according to Yahoo Sports.
NBA sources told the website that Memphis wants to include forward Tayshaun Prince in the package and the potential, but still fluid, trade could be expanded to include guard Tony Allen.
The Grizzlies want to unload Prince's contract, which has $7.2 million left for 2013-14 and $7.7 million for 2014-15.
Allen, who is averaging 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 27 games this season, would give the Wolves defensive toughness that president of basketball operations Flip Saunders wants to add, according to Yahoo.
Allen has been sidelined for the past 20 games because of a ligament injury in his hand but did practice on Monday. He reportedly will be a game-time decision on Tuesday when Memphis plays host to the New York Knicks.
Prince has played in 49 games this season and is averaging 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Budinger, 25, has been slowed by knee issues the past two seasons. He is averaging 6.1 points in 19 games this season.
The 29-year-old Barea is averaging 18.2 minutes, 8.7 points and 3.5 assists in 53 games this season, serving as the backup point guard to Ricky Rubio.
