Gophers football coach Jerry Kill received a contract extension and a substantial raise back in February.

His assistant coaches now appear to be getting similar treatment.

According to a report by the Star Tribune, offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys have agreed to new three-year contracts, while Kill's seven position coaches agreed to two-year deals (DBs coach Jay Sawvel, TE coach Rob Reeves, WR coach Brian Anderson, RB coach Pat Poore, D-line coach Jeff Phelps, LB coach Mike Sherels and QB coach Jim Zebrowski).

There is a stipulation in Kill's new contract that calls for the salary pool for his assistant coaching staff to rank in the top six in the soon-to-be 14-team Big Ten conference.

According to the USA Today's coaching salaries database, Claeys' previous deal paid him a salary of $346,800 last season. Limegrover's salary came in at $341,800. In total, Minnesota's assistant staff's salary pool ranked seventh in the conference.

The Gophers are entering their fourth year under Kill.
