Rick Adelman will call it a career Monday.

The head coach was widely expected to step down after the season. Adelman and the Wolves made it official at a scheduled press conference Monday morning.

The Star Tribune also is reporting that Adelman will step down.

Adelman and the Wolves had a mutual option for the final year of his four-year contract. He's coached the Wolves for three seasons.

Adelman's 1,042 career wins stands as the eighth-most in NBA history.

We'll have more updates following the press conference, scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday.
