Scott Studwell decided this weekend's NFL draft would be his last as the Vikings' director of college scouting.
Studwell, a former Vikings linebacker who has been a member of the organization for 38 years, has stepped down from that position, according to the Star Tribune.
Studwell told Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune that he wants to spend more time with his family and not spend as much time on the road.
Rick Spielman, the Vikings general manager, told the paper that Studwell will remain with the organization in a smaller capacity and that Jamaal Stephenson will be promoted to take over for Studwell.
Stephenson has served as the Vikings' assistant director of college scouting since 2009.
