The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly have interest in Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons, per a Yahoo! report.
The Timberwolves' top priority regarding estranged forward Kevin Love still appears to be a deal with Golden State involving shooting guard Klay Thompson, but if that doesn't work out:
"If the Thompson trade doesn't happen, the source said Minnesota could attempt a deal sending Love to the Rockets and acquire Parsons in a sign-and-trade," writes Yahoo's Marc Spears.
Parsons, 25, is a restricted free agent and could have any offer he gets matched by Houston when free agency opens on July 1. Parsons has started 207 games since he entered the league in 2011 and posted career highs in points (16.6 ppg), rebounds (5.5 rpg) and assists (4.0 apg) last season.
Parsons bounced between the Rockets and Timberwolves when he was drafted in 2011. The Rockets initially sent Parsons to Minnesota in a package deal before the Timberwolves sent him back for cash on the same day.
