MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins have agreed to a contract with Kendrys Morales, according CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

The Mariners offered Morales a qualifying offer this offseason, about $14.1 million, meaning any team that signed him before the MLB Draft would have had to give up an early draft choice.

Now, there's no compensation involved. Terms of the deal are not yet known, but we'll continually update the story as more information becomes available.

Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports that it's a prorated $12 million contract.

Morales reportedly still must pass a physical, according to Jerry Crasnick.
