The release of Antoine Winfield left the Minnesota Vikings with a remarkably young cornerback group. Apparently, they haven't ruled out adding a veteran just yet.
Former Indianapolis and Detroit cornerback Jacob Lacey visited the Vikings recently, the Baltimore Sun reported on Thursday.
Lacey, 25, has appeared in 54 games with 36 starts over four seasons with the Colts (2009 to '11) and Lions (2012). He has six career interceptions, 25 passes defended and three forced fumbles.
The Vikings tried to re-sign Winfield, but he took a one-year contract that included only $1 million in guarantees with Seattle.
