WASHINGTON -- The Minnesota Vikings are headed to London sooner than expected.
An NFL source confirmed on Sunday morning the Vikings will play a "home" game at Wembley Stadium next September.
ESPN first reported the news and said an announcement will be made at Tuesday's owners meeting.
The Vikings have been angling to play some games in London during their likely two-year stay at TCF Bank Stadium while the new stadium is built. But they'll still be in the Metrodome next season.
Playing in London means the Vikings will have only seven regular-season games at the Metrodome next season.
