Despite reports to the contrary, Kurt Rambis remains the coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

But citing a "Kahn confidante," Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News reports that president of basketball operations David Kahn recently made a play for Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Krzyzewski, who makes approximately $5 million at his current post, turned down the opportunity to coach Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004.

Meanwhile, Kahn continues to have discussions with Rambis and his agent.
