Jerome Felton apparently wasn't the only free agent to visit the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday.

Wide receiver/return man Ted Ginn Jr. also was meeting with the Vikings, according to NFL sources.

Ginn, 26, played the past two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, who have signed receivers Randy Moss and Mario Manningham in the past week and probably won't bring him back. His primary value is as a return man -- he has six career return touchdowns.

A star at Ohio State, Ginn was a first-round pick (ninth overall) by the Miami Dolphins in 2007 but never lived up to expectations. His best season as a receiver came in 2008, when he had 56 catches for 790 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dolphins traded Ginn to San Francisco in April 2010 for a fifth-round draft pick. In two seasons with the 49ers, Ginn had 31 catches for 383 yards and also served as the 49ers' primary return man, posting a career-best 13.4-yard average on 24 punt returns in 2010 and a 27.6-yard average on 29 kick returns with a 102-yard touchdown last season.
