Ricky Rubio, Spain advance to final round of EuroBasket tournament

Spain advanced to the final round of the EuroBasket tournament, despite losing to Italy on Monday. Wolves point guard Ricky Rubio is on the team, but played sparingly.

Rubio scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting in his 16 minutes. He also had a rebound and an assist.

Teams will get a day of rest before the final round begins. The tournament takes place in Slovenia, and its final round comprises eight teams.

Despite Monday's loss, Spain finished as a top-four team in its group to advance. Spain's performance on the final round will have no bearing on its participation in the 2014 World Cup, because as the host country, Spain has already received an at-large bid.
