The Kevin Slowey trade is complete.

The Minnesota Twins announced on Thursday they have acquired minor-league right-hander Daniel Turpen as the player to be named later from the Colorado Rockies.

Turpen, 25, was 2-4 with a 4.83 ERA, 33 strikeouts, 35 walks and 11 saves in 59 2/3 innings over 48 appearances with Double-A Tulsa last season. The Twins assigned him to Triple-A Rochester.

Per Baseball America's Ben Badler, Turpen's fastball revs up to 98 mph with sink, but has below-average off-speed stuff.
