Rodney Williams becoming 'more vocal,' should start against Indiana

MINNEAPOLIS -- One thing the Gophers won't have to worry about going into Tuesday night's match up against top-ranked Indiana is their health.

"Everybody seems to be in pretty good health, pretty good spirits," coach Tubby Smith said on Monday. "I think we're fine."

That includes senior forward Rodney Williams, who has been bothered by a sore shoulder for the past couple of weeks.

"He'll start (Tuesday)," Smith said.

Smith said Williams is also important from a leadership standpoint -- something the coach has been calling for from his seniors.

"Rodney has really stepped up because he's healthier and his shoulder's feeling better," Smith said. "So, he's had some good practices and shown leadership. He's more vocal and that's positive."
