Sore quad lands Jason Repko on DL; Ben Revere on the way

CHICAGO -- Still unable to run at full speed due to a quad strain, Minnesota Twins outfielder Jason Repko is headed to the disabled list, retroactive to Monday.
Repko was replaced on the 25-man roster by outfielder Ben Revere, who hit .293/.330/.315 with seven stolen bases in 99 plate appearances for Triple-A Rochester prior to his call-up.
Revere and Trevor Plouffe, who was called up to replace Jim Thome, were both expected to be in Chicago in time for Wednesday's game.
Repko hit .208/.296/.208 in 29 plate appearances for the Twins before being sidelined.
