The Minnesota Vikings has re-signed another of their own.
Safety Jamarca Sanford posted on Twitter he's staying with the team that took a chance on him in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
"I want to thank the Minnesota Vikings organization!" Sanford wrote. "I'm coming back home to my #skolvikings #Godisgood."
An NFL source confirmed the signing. ProFootballTalk.com reported it's a two-year deal.
Sanford, 27, had his best season in 2012, starting 13 games after Mistral Raymond's injury and forcing a career-high four fumbles.
He also is a core special teamer and was one of the Vikings' three logical priorities to retain, along with right tackle Phil Loadholt and fullback Jerome Felton.
Loadholt agreed to terms on a multiyear deal on Tuesday. General manager Rick Spielman said negotiations with Felton are ongoing.
