MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins and Tigers game scheduled for Sunday has been postponed, according to Twins President Dave St. Peter.

Kyle Gibson had been scheduled to oppose Detroit's Justin Verlander.

Now, Gibson is scheduled to pitch Tuesday against the Dodgers after Monday's off day.

Since the Tigers are a division opponent, making up the game will not be as difficult as it would for a team like the Blue Jays.

The Tigers will visit Target Field twice more this year: Friday-Sunday, Aug. 22-24; and Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 15-17.
