Twins GM Terry Ryan had successful surgery to remove cancerous cells Tuesday, the Twins announced through a spokesman.
Ryan, 60, now is resting at the clinic where the surgery was performed, and is expected to stay there a few nights.
The Twins said there won't be any more information available tonight. Team doctor Vijay Eyunni said Monday that Ryan would need the surgery and then possibly radiation therapy to battle the Squamous cell carcinoma.
