Timberwolves' first-round picks will be part of Summer League entry

The Minnesota Timberwolves Summer League team will include first-round draft picks Shabazz Muhammad (14th overall) and Gorgui Dieng (21st overall), as well as Wolves forward Chris Johnson and former Illinois guard Brandon Paul.
The squad, which will be coached by David Adelman and Shawn Respert, will open its five-game schedule July 13 against the NBA D-League Select team at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Wolves' other preliminary round games will be July 15 against Phoenix and July 16 against Miami.
This summer's event will feature the debut of a tournament style schedule that will crown the first ever NBA Summer League champion on July 22. Teams will compete in the three preliminary round games before being seeded in a tournament running through the title game. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
David Adelman, the son of Wolves coach Rick Adelman, and Respert are the Wolves' player development coaches.
