Kevin Love's remarkable March has pushed his name closer to NBA Most Valuable Player consideration, and now the Minnesota Timberwolves are getting behind the push.
The Wolves announced they'll distribute 15,000 placards reading "KLOVE MVP" to fans in attendance for Friday's game against the Boston Celtics -- the first in a series of promotions the team says it has planned to highlight Love's candidacy.
Entering Friday's game, Love was on pace to become the first player in NBA history to lead all players in scoring, rebounding and 3-pointers in a single Monday. Through 15 games this month, Love is averaging 31.3 points, 14.1 rebounds and 3.1 3-pointers -- all league highs.
