The Rochester Red Wings are going to the playoffs.
The hunt for postseason play came down to the wire for the Twins Triple-A affiliate, but the Wings clinched a playoff berth with a win Monday, coupled with a Norfolk Tides loss.
The Tides, the Baltimore Orioles Triple-A affiliate, lost a 1-0 game to the Durham Bulls in 10 innings Tuesday. Rochester, meanwhile, beat Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 13-3 to win the Wild Card.
The Pawtucket Red Sox had already clinched the International League's North Division.
Scott Diamond pitched 7 innings of three-run ball, and the Red Wings hung nine runs on the board in the first inning Monday.
The low-A Cedar Rapids Kernels and the high-A Fort Myers Miracle also made the postsesason in their respective leagues.
