Outfielder Oswaldo Arcia got a cortisone shot in his strained right wrist, Assistant General Manager Rob Antony said Tuesday.

He's already on the disabled list, but the Twins decided to try to speed up his recovery. Initially, the team thought rest would be enough to get one of the Twins' best bats back in the lineup.

Outfielder Josh Willingham also is on the 15-day DL after being hit on the left wrist last Sunday in Cleveland. Initial X-rays missed a small fracture in the tiny pisiform bone, but Saturday the Twins got an MRI and CT scan on the wrist. The CT scan showed the fracture.
