MINNEAPOLIS -- Following Wednesday's loss to the Detroit Tigers, the Minnesota Twins announced right-hander Anthony Swarzak has been activated from the 15-day disabled list.
To make room on the 25-man roster, right-handers Luis Perdomo and Jeff Manship were optioned to Triple-A Rochester. Manager Ron Gardenhire said the Twins will recall another position player before Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Swarzak had been on the disabled list since July 25 with shoulder discomfort.
First baseman Chris Parmelee is position player most deserving of a call-up. He is currently hitting .354/.470/.691 with 15 home runs in 49 games for Triple-A Rochester.
