The Twins claimed Brooks Raley off waivers from the Chicago Cubs, the Twins announced Wednesday.

He will be added to the 40-man roster and report to spring training with Minnesota. The Twins now have a full 40-man roster.

Raley, a lefthanded pitcher, pitched 14 innings out of the Cubs' bullpen last season. The year before that, he went 1-2 in five starts across 24 1/3 innings.

He pitched 141 1/3 innings for the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in 2013, where he struck out  95 batters and walked 45. He throws a high-80s fastball, a mid-80s slider, a mid-80s changeup and a mid-70s curveball, according to Fangraphs.
