The Drew Butera trade is complete.
The Minnesota Twins will receive 19-year-old left-hander Miguel Sulbaran as the player-to-be-named-later from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Sulbaran owns a 3.01 ERA with 85 strikeouts and only 27 walks in 92 2/3 innings for Low-A Great Lakes. Of his 23 games, 16 are starts. It's likely he'll join Low-A Cedar Rapids in the Twins' organization.
Word is Sulbaran's fastball sits in the 88-90 mph range, which doesn't fit into the Twins' plan to add more power arms to the system. But landing a 19-year-old with some upside for a catcher who hit .182/.230/.263 over three years in the big leagues is probably about as big of a haul as the Twins could have hoped for.
