Pitching remained a major focus for the Minnesota Twins as they wrapped up the final day of Major League Baseball's first-year players draft on Wednesday.

The Twins added 13 more pitchers, including nine right-handers, to move their total this year to 35. It is the most pitchers the Twins have taken in a draft in more than 10 years. They selected 34 pitchers in the 2004 draft, which spawned current Twins Glen Perkins and Anthony Swarzak.

Among Wednesday's new additions was University of Minnesota right-hander T.J. Oakes. Hailing from Jordan, Minn., Oakes posted an 3.26 ERA and a 52 strikeouts in 14 starts in his 2011 sophomore campaign.
