Michael Tonkin will make the Opening Day roster after all.

Brian Duensing has been placed on the Paternity list, the Twins announced Monday, clearing the way for Tonkin to be recalled from Triple-A Rochester.

The right-hander didn't allow a run in spring training across 8 1/3 innings. More important for projecting his performance, Tonkin last season struck out 76 batters in 68 1/3 between Double-A, Triple-A and the Majors.

For the uniform zealots out there, Tonkin will wear No. 59.
