Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire officially revealed his lineup to reporters on Thursday for Friday's season opener against the Baltimore Orioles (2:05 p.m., 1500 ESPN:
CF Denard Span
SS Jamey Carroll
C Joe Mauer
DH Justin Morneau
LF Josh Willingham
RF Ryan Doumit
3B Danny Valencia
1B Chris Parmelee
2B Alexi Casilla
SP Carl Pavano
The only mild surprise here is Doumit, who played 25 innings in right field during the Grapefruit League schedule. Trevor Plouffe and Ben Revere also saw time in right field, and it's likely Gardenhire will rotate all three depending on pitching match-ups, and depending on when Doumit catches.
The Twins will face Orioles right-hander Jake Arreta, who owns a 4.88 career ERA in 219 2/3 innings.
