As expected, Alexi Casilla's strained right hamstring will land him on to the 15-day disabled list.
The Minnesota Twins confirmed the decision during Thursday's game at Texas and announced they had recalled Luke Hughes from Triple-A Rochester to Casilla's spot on the 25-man roster.
Casilla was injured while running the bases during Wednesday's game. The Twins called up Matt Tolbert on Thursday afternoon, then recalled Hughes -- who wasn't eligible to return to the big-league roster barring an injury -- less than 8 hours later.
Hughes, who is hitting .237 (42-for-177) in 60 games with the Twins, is expected to be in uniform for Friday's series opener at Oakland.
