Minnesota Twins prospect Byron Buxton continued his torrid run through the Midwest league on Thursday night.
With the Cedar Rapids Kernels trailing by three runs to the Burlington Bees in the bottom of the ninth inning, Buxton came to the plate and launched a towering, game-winning grand slam high over the left-field fence.
Buxton's slam gives him six home runs, 32 RBIs and 42 runs scored in only 38 games. He also owns a .343/.445/.594 batting line with 16 stolen bases (seven caught), and it's likely he'll be promoted to High-A Fort Myers sometime in the near future.
