Jose Mijares, who spent the last week on the bereavement list tending to a family matter in Venezuela, has been reactivated in time for today's game against the New York Mets.

To clear room, the Twins optioned RHP Jeff Manship back to Class-AAA Rochester.

Mijares was actually moved from the bereavement list to the restricted list yesterday. Players on the restricted list may remain there for as long as necessary, but they do not receive paychecks.

Mijares is expected to be available out of the bullpen today.

The Twins are set to face former teammate Johan Santana this afternoon.
