Jim Thome is back.
The Minnesota Twins announced Friday that the 40-year-old, left-handed slugger has signed a one-year deal. According to MLB.com the deal is worth $3 million and includes incentives based on plate appearances.
Thome mashed last season, hitting .283/.412/.627 with 25 home runs in only 340 plate appearances.
The Rangers were reportedly interested as well, but Thome has made it clear all along that he enjoyed his time in Minnesota and wanted to return under the right circumstances.
