The Minnesota Twins' starting rotation got its third shakeup in about 48 hours on Thursday afternoon, when the team selected right-hander Sam Deduno's contract from Triple-A Rochester.
Deduno, 29, will start Saturday's game against Texas.
The Twins made room on the 25-man roster by optioning Chris Parmelee back to Rochester.
Deduno was 1-4 with a 2.14 earned-run average, 22 walks and 46 strikeouts in 42 innings over nine starts with the Red Wings.
Cole De Vries, who had been recalled to start Saturday's game, ended up pitching in relief after Brian Duensing's early exit on Wednesday and will start on Sunday instead.
The Twins recalled right-hander Casey Fien on Wednesday as well, with struggling starters Liam Hendriks and Nick Blackburn sent back to Rochester.
