After getting swept by the Brewers on Thursday, the Twins announced a roster move that probably won't surprise many. Brendan Harris was outrighted to Class-AAA Rochester, and the Twins purchased the contract of OF Jason Repko, who was recalled to the 25-man roster.
The move means Harris, who was out of minor league options, cleared waivers before being sent down.
Harris was hitting a paltry .157/.233/.213 with four extra base hits in 120 plate appearances this season. He was supposed to provide some punch off the bench from the right side of the plate, but that obviously hasn't been the case.
Repko, who spent parts of four seasons in the Major Leagues with the Dodgers from 2005-2009, was hitting .281/.368/.412 at Rochester with 16 extra base hits and 10 stolen bases in 263 plate appearances.
