MINNEAPOLIS - Starter Samuel Deduno will not return this season, as his shoulder woes may require surgery. The surgery -- likely a scope -- would not be serious, but that decision won't be made for about another 10 days, Twins general manager Terry Ryan said.

Deduno was transferred to the 60-day disabled list following Sunday's game. It's unclear if Deduno will pitch in winter ball, though Ryan said the Twins don't feel he needs to.
