Sidelined since April 4 with shoulder bursitis, Minnesota Twins right-hander Kevin Slowey will be activated from the disabled list after Friday night's game in Boston.
Manager Ron Gardenhire said in an interview with 1500 ESPN on Friday morning that he has not yet decided who Slowey will replace in the bullpen.
Gardenhire also said left-hander Francisco Liriano will likely start in Monday night's nationally televised game against the Red Sox. Liriano threw 123 pitches in Tuesday night's no-hitter, and although pitching Monday would give him six days rest, the team initially pondered pushing him back to Tuesday.
