With Jason Kubel sidelined due to a sprained foot, and with Jim Thome leaving Wednesday night's game early because of a mild quad strain, the Minnesota Twins have recalled outfielder Ben Revere from Triple-A Rochester.

The team will place either Kubel or Thome on the 15-day disabled list prior to Thursday night's game in Kansas City.

In 34 plate appearances for the Twins this season, Revere is hitting .242/.265/.242 with two stolen bases. But in 136 plate appearances for the Rochester Red Wings, Revere has hit .299/.336/.362 with eight stolen bases.
