The NHL's department of player safety has suspended Nazem Kadri for three games for his hit that knocked Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom out from Wednesday's game.
As the department noted, Backstrom stayed in the game briefly, but eventually had to be lifted for Josh Harding.
Harding was ill and the Wild intended to give him the night off. Instead, he came in reserve duty and made 19 saves to keep the Wild in the game until they could tie the score late in the third.
The Wild eventually won in the shootout to earn the extra point.
Kadri's hit to Backstrom was not the only chippy play in the game between Minnesota and Toronto, but it did have the most direct impact.
