Ernest Owusu's latest stint on the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad lasted all of two days.
The team announced on Friday morning it has waived Owusu to make room on the practice squad for fellow end George Johnson, a third-year pro who appeared in nine games over parts of three seasons with Tampa Bay.
Johnson, 24, was undrafted out of Rutgers in 2010. The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder finished last season on injured reserve with a knee injury but returned to appear in five games this season before being waived last week.
Owusu, the rookie from Cal, has now been waived by the Vikings five times in the past 2½ months. Because the move was made on Friday, Owusu will collect his $5,700 check for the week.
