SEATTLE -- The Minnesota Vikings decided to fill the empty spot on their 53-man roster after all.
The team announced on Saturday it has re-signed tight end Allen Reisner off the practice squad.
Reisner, the second-year pro from Iowa, appeared in the first three games this season on special teams before being waived to make room for Jerome Simpson, who had been suspended.
It's likely Reisner will be active for Sunday's game here against the Seahawks, giving the Vikings three tight ends with John Carlson (concussion) out.
The roster spot was empty because the Vikings placed cornerback Chris Cook (broken arm) on injured reserve with designation to return.
