The Minnesota Vikings made a roster move Monday, signing guard Tyler Holmes and waiving wide receiver Kris Adams.
Holmes, who played college football at Tulsa, was named a Conference USA honorable mention performer last season. The native of Ottawa is 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds.
Last May, the Toronto Argonauts selected Holmes in the first round of the CFL draft after acquiring the pick from Saskatchewan.
Adams, who played at UTEP, joined the Vikings practice squad late in the 2011 season and then signed a reserve/futures contract with the team after the season. He had gone to training camp with the Chicago Bears last season and also spent time with the St. Louis Rams.
