Chris DeGeare's departure from the Minnesota Vikings was a brief one.
The team announced on Monday it has re-signed DeGeare to the practice squad, along with six other players who were waived on Saturday.
Others re-signed are: receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux, fullback Matt Asiata, receiver Stephen Burton, fullback Ryan D'Imperio, halfback Caleb King and defensive lineman Cedric McKinley.
DeGeare, a fifth-round draft pick in 2010, entered training camp with a chance to start at right guard but was moved to tackle after the preseason opener. He was eligible for the practice squad because he appeared in only eight games last season, one fewer than the limit.
The eighth and final spot could be filled as soon as Monday night if tight end Allen Reisner, released on Sunday to clear room for linebacker Xavier Adibi, clears waivers.
