The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed fullback Ryan D'Imperio and five other members of their practice squad to futures contracts.
D'Imperio, the Vikings' seventh-round pick out of Rutgers last year, was re-signed through 2013. Receiver Freddie Brown, defensive back Simeon Castille, defensive tackle Tremaine Johnson, guard Seth Olsen and cornerback Cord Parks were signed through 2012.
The duration of futures contracts is based on NFL service. Only D'Imperio, who had an uphill battle in his conversion from linebacker, was a rookie last season.
The Vikings now have 45 players under contract for 2011. Twenty-two players who finished the season on the Vikings' roster or injured reserve are unsigned, with 18 potentially eligible for unrestricted free agency.
