The Minnesota Vikings have locked up another draft pick.
Quarterback Joe Webb, the physically talented sixth-round pick from UAB, is the latest to agree to terms, an NFL source confirmed on Wednesday morning.
The Vikings were close to a deal with fifth-round pick Chris DeGeare as of late Tuesday night and were expected to complete his deal sometime Wednesday, too. Then, they'll have only their two second-round picks to lock up: cornerback Chris Cook and running back Toby Gerhart.
Neither deal is expected to be complicated. Players report to training camp on Thursday night, but the real deadline is Friday, when the Vikings open practice at 4 p.m.
The floor for Cook's deal is set. Tampa Bay signed nose tackle Brian Price -- the player selected 35th overall, one spot behind Cook -- to a four-year, $5.35 million contract that included a $2.72 million signing bonus.
No. 33 pick Rodger Saffold has not signed with St. Louis. Nor have the players drafted on either side of Gerhart at No. 51, but there's no concern yet about his deal getting done in time.
UPDATE, 12:40 p.m.: Saffold has agreed to terms, according to NFL.com's Steve Wyche, setting the ceiling for Cook's deal as well.
UPDATE, 4:58 p.m.: Javier Arenas, the No. 50 overall pick, has agreed to a four year deal with the Chiefs, according to National Football Post's Aaron Wilson. That sets the ceiling for Gerhart's deal. The No. 52 pick, end Jason Worilds, has yet to sign with Pittsburgh.
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports Saffold's deal is for four years with a maximum value of $6.3 million, $3.9 million in guarantees and another $250,000 in "tough" incentives.
