The Vikings on Tuesday completed signing their draft class when the team announced the signing of running back Jerick McKinnon.
McKinnon, out of Georgia Southern, was the fourth player the Vikings selected and their second pick in the third round of this year's draft (No. 96 overall).
Some have compared McKinnon to Darren Sproles, and have speculated how he might fit into Norv Turner's offense as a potential change-of-pace back on third down. But he never was asked to pick up blitzes in college, so his pass protection likely will need some work.
He said he'd like to model his game after LeSean McCoy, and that he also likes Jamal Charles and LaDanian Tomlinson, another one of Turner's former backs.
The Vikings had previously signed the other nine players they selected in the 2014 draft.
