MANKATO, Minn. -- Desperate for depth on the offensive line, the Minnesota Vikings signed guard Bridger Buche on Saturday morning and waived receiver A.J. Love.

Buche, 23, from Eastern Michigan, previously was in training camp with Pittsburgh, meaning he's eligible to practice immediately.

The Vikings previously announced they had signed guard Grant Cook, who worked out along with Buche on Friday.

They were down to only 11 offensive linemen by the end of Friday's practice, with Geoff Schwartz (sports hernia), DeMarcus Love (shoulder), Pat Brown (knee) and Kevin Murphy (heat illness) sidelined.
