The Minnesota Vikings have found Cullen Loeffler's replacement.
Matt Katula signed with the team on Tuesday after working out along with three other long snappers. It's a one-year deal, per an NFL source.
Katula, 29, played in all 80 games for the Baltimore Ravens from 2005 to '09, then spent eight games with the New England Patriots last season.
The Brookfield, Wis., native and former Badger will finish the season in place of Loeffler, who is expected to be placed on injured reserve after suffering a lower-back fracture in Sunday's loss at Atlanta.
Among the veterans who worked out for the Vikings were longtime Saints long snapper Kevin Hauser and Jake Ingram, who most recently was in camp with Jacksonville.
