The Minnesota Vikings' second signing out of this past weekend's rookie minicamp wasn't a rookie at all.
The team announced on Monday afternoon it has signed tackle Brandon Keith, who appeared in 26 games with 20 starts from 2008 to '11 with the Arizona Cardinals.
Keith, 28, battled knee problems during his time in Arizona and was out of football last season. He was one of a handful of experienced players participating in the camp on a tryout basis, along with dozens of undrafted rookies.
The Vikings also signed one of those rookies, former Minnesota State, Mankato receiver Adam Thielen. Both players passed physicals and signed their deals on Monday.
To make room on the 90-man roster, which had been full, the Vikings waived veteran punter Chris Kluwe and receiver Nicholas Edwards, a rookie from Eastern Washington.
