The Minnesota Vikings will reunite with linebacker Jasper Brinkley, who will be headed back to Minnesota on a one-year deal after spending 2013 with the Arizona Cardinals, 1500ESPN.com contributor Darren Wolfson confirmed.
Brinkley, 29 in July, appeared in eight games as a linebacker for the Cardinals last season and saw just 210 snaps, according to ProFootballFocus.com. Brinkley suffered from a groin injury and played behind Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby last season.
Brinkley started for the Vikings at middle linebacker in 2012 after coming off hip surgery that landed him on injured reserve in 2011.
The Vikings drafted Brinkley in the fifth round (150th overall) in the 2009 draft.
