EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The NFL's first three-day draft now is a two-day event for the Minnesota Vikings.

They traded the No. 30 overall pick in tonight's first round to the Detroit Lions, who used it to select running back Jahvid Best of California.

In return, the Vikings got Detroit's second-round pick (No. 34 overall), a fourth-round pick and a late-round pick, according to ESPN. swapped fourth-rounders with the Lions (moving up 28 spots) and a got a seventh-round pick.
