Four days after completing a 10-man NFL Draft class and agreeing to terms with 15 undrafted rookies, the Minnesota Vikings cleared some room on the roster, waiving tight end Daniel Hardy and guard Butch Lewis.
Hardy had stints with Tampa Bay and New Orleans last year but has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game. Lewis spent eight weeks on the Vikings' practice squad over two stints last season.
Combined with Tuesday's release of halfback Caleb King, the Vikings have 65 players under contract, not including the rookies, who have yet to sign contracts.
Rookie camp begins on Friday.
